| Details: GENERAL SUMMARY:This person will be a member of the Decision Support team that supports the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). This role requires deep experience in data warehouse and business intelligence technologies. Responsible for the day-to-day use of the EDW, expected to have a detailed knowledge of the applications used to support this system, be aware and help create a work-around for existing problems with the applications or usage of, and serve as a quality control expert for the reports produced and data contained in the EDW. The individual may be expected from time to time to participate or manage projects outside of their functional area of expertise. Provide direction to staff and association personnel in the use of the EDW. Analyzes and evaluates user requirements. Work with business partners to evaluate their needs for data from the EDW, and with the developers and DBA’s to design and develop data models, ETL strategies and reports. Analyzes alternative means of deriving input data to select the most accurate, feasible and economical methods. This position will be involved on EDW-related projects and will assist in prioritizing and managing the demand for Decision Support team’s resources. A major part of this position is to provide interface between the internal customers and external customers such as vendors, and other departments to ensure effective completion and delivery of assigned projects. NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:This class performs professional level work for projects within a department. In addition, incumbents coordinate a wide variety of special projects, normally involving the staff of several departments, consumers, vendors and other groups.  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:The System Analyst position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will be expected to take the lead on assigned projects and may oversee the work of others working on assigned projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:1.     Leads project teams and develop project team members to implement EDW-related systems, testing, requirements, etc. within time constraints and project resources2.     Leads multiple, parallel projects using formal and informal project planning techniques3.     Prepares large scale project plans including schedules, tasks, work assignments, resources project milestones, dependencies, budget/forecasts and review points, and reporting thereof.4.     Reviews all work prior to its incorporation into production or input into another project task.5.     Reports to management on project progress, problems, and needed changes.
